Summer Surf Weeks

WEEKLY PROGRAMS

Full Day (09:30 to 16:30) – Surf lessons and lots of fun

For children aged 6 to 16 years old

  • Mornings and afternoons supervised by certified surf instructors

  • Small groups (1 coach for every 4/5 children)

  • Dynamic and exclusive surf and SUP lessons for the group

  • Wetsuit – Surfboard – Rash vest included
    (boards and lessons adapted to each student’s experience level)

  • Safe and disinfected space for showers, changing clothes, and storing belongings

  • Separate male and female restrooms

  • Beach support – Castelo Beach Restaurant/Bar

  • Personal Accident and Public Liability Insurance

  • Travel insurance for transport Lisbon – Praia do Castelo – Return

PROGRAM CONTENT

  • Familiarization with the equipment

  • Adaptation to the aquatic environment

  • Understanding safety rules

  • Performing the take-off

  • Basic stance

  • Catching waves with and without the coach’s assistance

  • Riding whitewater waves left and right

  • When sea conditions allow, catching unbroken waves and riding left and right

From 6 years old

DUCKDIVE organizes children into 2 learning groups:

  • Beginner

  • Progression

The lessons:

  • Take place at Praia do Castelo, according to the surfer’s level.

  • Have an average duration of 2 hours.

  • Include all the necessary equipment for surfing.

  • Group lessons with 1 coach / maximum 4 children.

  • Each level has very specific structured goals, and the student only moves to the next level once all learning stages have been completed.

For the 18th consecutive year, Duckdive will be running these Leisure Time Activities in partnership with holiday camps organized by Parish Councils, Schools, and Private Colleges – a First Surf Experience, for children aged 4 to 14 years old.

This is a personalized program designed for younger groups from Parish Councils (beach/countryside), primary schools, and private colleges, who visit the beaches of Costa de Caparica during the Spring and Summer school holidays, allowing them to have their first contact with surfing and its sporting activity.

Dates: March to October 2026
Ages: 4 to 14 years old
Availability: Monday to Friday – from 9:00 AM
Lesson duration: Maximum of 2 hours

    OPTIONAL EXTRAS

    • Lunch at “Praia do Castelo” Restaurant – €18
      (full meal with soup + juice and fruit)

    • Transport – Lisbon and Almada – €95 / 8 children
      (6 seats for children up to 11 years old + 2 seats for ages 12 and above, round trip)

    BOOKING CONDITIONS

    • Minimum number: 6 children

    • 50% payment required at the time of booking

    • Remaining 50% to be paid at the end of the activity

    • Confirmation of the number of children up to 24 hours before

    • All prices include VAT at the legal rate in force.
